Dr. Bon Hwang established BONHEAL ACUPUNCTURE on September 9th, 2021 with the mission to introduce
Western audiences to the amazing traditional healing properties of Eastern medicine in a way that is fun, relaxing, educational, and most of all affordable. As an expert acupuncturist and practitioner of herbal medicine for over 30 years, Dr. Hwang knew firsthand how powerful Eastern medicine could be, but was disheartened to see how many people, individuals who could drastically benefit from holistic medicine, knew almost nothing about it or perhaps saw it simply as pseudoscience or superstition. Recognizing Los Angeles as his home, Dr. Hwang made it his mission to change that perception and bring affordable and approachable holistic healing to his city.

DR. BON HWANG
LAc, PhD
Dr. Bon Hwang is a fully licensed and certified professional
acupuncturist as well as the Professor of Acupuncture and Eastern
Medicine at Dongguk University, Los Angeles who has been
practicing acupuncture and other holistic therapies for more than
25 years. As an involved member of the local community, Dr. Hwang has dedicated hundreds of hours to treating LAPD officers and their field -induced injuries, for which he has received both Gold and Silver Presidential Awards in recognition of this service.
Having studied and received his PhD in chemistry, Dr. Hwang has
leveraged this expertise into a specialization in ancient Korean
herbal medicine, tailoring specific remedies for every client.
